Today, Geoffrey met with local stakeholders to discuss restoring the Bideford to Barnstaple rail link.
Geoffrey has long supported efforts to improve rail connectivity in Devon, as he strongly believes that bettering local transport links will boost economic growth and raise living standards across our county.
Geoffrey later reflected:
“Restoring the Bideford to Barnstaple rail link is an idea with huge potential for our communities which has my full support. I am a proud advocate of greater rail connectivity in West Devon, and will continue to remain in close and regular contact with the Department for Transport, Peninsula Rail, and Devon County Council to that end.”
