Sir Geoffrey met with farming families from across the country to London to protest against the Chancellors Budget. As he warned during last year’s election, despite Labour’s promises, those who work hard and save, build businesses and create jobs, set aside for retirement, or hope to leave something for the next generation will find this Government coming for them. It seeks to penalise prudence, self-reliance, and aspiration in order to fund reckless and unsustainable increases in welfare spending—spending it knows must be controlled but lacks the courage to address.
