Following the excellent ceremony marking the start of construction on the first of three RFA Fleet Solid Support ships at Appledore, Sir Geoffrey was delighted to chair a meeting with Navantia UK CEO Donato Martinez and Shadow Secretary of State for Defence James Cartlidge MP. The discussion focused on the progress of the project and Navantia’s plans for its other UK shipyards, exploring how they can continue to support the Ministry of Defence in delivering world-class naval operations across the globe.
