Prime Minister Boris Johnson reopens Appledore Shipyard

Geoffrey welcomed the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, to Appledore for the official opening of the new Harland & Wolff (Appledore) Shipyard.

This is superb news for our communities and I was glad to have been able to arrange for the Prime Minister to carry out the reopening ceremony after his commitment last year, at our summit meeting at No 10 Downing street, to back the Yard's future. The first employees will be recruited within days.
