Sir Geoffrey was delighted to visit Appledore Lifeboat Station to meet the crew to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Station, to thank the team for the extraordinary work they do every day in saving lives!
Sir Geoffey said 'It is always humbling to meet these men and women whose lives are dedicated to principles of duty, sacrifice and service, and who put those principles into practice each day by volunteering to place themselves in danger for “those who go down to the sea in ships”. Thank you to the Appledore Lifeboat Crew and all those who support and keep their operations going'
