The state of the roads and potholes across Torridge and West Devon are not just a nuisance but can often be dangerous to both vehicle and driver. As a rural constituency, the people of Torridge and West Devon rely on private motor vehicles to go about their business much more than many other parts of the country.
While I welcome the government's allocation of an extra £9.4 million in the spring budget last year to increase the fixing potholes, there is an acute need for extra attention to be given to Devon's near 8,000 miles of road.
To that end, I need your support. Sign my petition and share it with your neighbours. With your support I will be able to amplify your voice and present an official petition in the chamber of the House of Commons.
UPDATE:
08/05/2024. Today, I had the pleasure of presenting the "Road network improvements in Torridge and West Devon" petition in the chamber of the House of Commons. With signatures of the good people of Torridge and West Devon numbering over 4,000 we sent a clear message to the government that attention is needed where it is due. Thank you!
