Geoffrey Cox, MP for Torridge and West Devon, was there to support the return of charity horse riders for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust last weekend.
The riders, Allen Lewis, David Crocker , Kenny Watson , Crispan Alford, and Mel Pengelly set out from Postbridge on Dartmoor to arrive at the Tavistock AFC in aid of the cancer charity and were welcomed home by Geoffrey.
The MP said: "Congratulations to Allen and to all the intrepid riders for their ride in support of a very important cause. Bob's Cancer Trust gives vital help in the fight against male prostate and testicular cancers, types of the disease which often escape public attention and are not talked about. Yet prostate cancer kills 11000 men a year, and every penny raised by the Bob Champion Cancer Trust goes into essential research."
