MP pays his respects to the fallen soldiers on Armistice Day

11th November 2011

Today, Geoffrey Cox joined millions of people across Britain and the world, in observing 2 minutes of silence in remembrance of the fallen.

Geoffrey Cox said: “Remembrance Day gives us an opportunity for at least one day a year, to stand untied as a nation in honouring those who have died. We come together to recognise the debt we owe to each man and woman who died in order to ensure our freedom and the freedom of millions of others.”

“On this day we pay tribute to the dead of two world wars and countless other conflicts. The fallen of Korea, Ulster, the Falklands, the Balkans, Iraq, and of course Afghanistan. The price of all we enjoy has been paid in blood and broken lives. Will never forget.”

Geoffrey Cox will be commemorating Remembrance Sunday at Bideford Town Hall.
