MP encourages Torridge residents to have their say
28th October 2011
Member of Parliament Geoffrey Cox is today encouraging residents to put forward their views to help shape Torridge District Council’s plans for the coming years. The Council is currently looking at how to allocate their budget for the next financial year, and working out strategic priorities for the district over the coming years.
Torridge District Council is now consulting on its Draft Strategic Plan for 2012 to 2015, and the 2012 to 2013 Budget. The council is keen to hear views on the plans to try and ensure residents’ issues are incorporated as much as possible
Responses will help toward the development of a recommended Budget, which will be discussed by the Full Council at a meeting on 22 February 2012. Consultation is open now and will close on Tuesday 15th November 2011.
Geoffrey says “It’s vital that the council supports local residents as much as possible and reflects their priorities. In order to do this, members of the community must ensure their views are heard. I encourage as many people as possible to complete the questionnaires and tell the council what is important to them and their families.”
